Terms of Service
1. Agreement and eligibility
These terms form an agreement between you and Ahribox. You must be at least 18, legally able to enter a contract, and use an invited account. By creating an account, paying for a subscription, or using the service, you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Acceptable Use Policy.
2. The service
Ahribox provides live-stream relay and protection features that can route a signal to OBS or Twitch, detect a disconnection or low bitrate, and display a fallback scene. Ahribox is not an emergency service, an archival service, or a guarantee that a broadcast will be continuous, free of black frames or data loss, or accepted by Twitch.
The service is provided subject to availability and without a service-level agreement. Features, encoding profiles, quotas, capacity limits, and integrations may change in accordance with section 11. Maintenance, security measures, failures, or capacity limits can interrupt the service.
3. Account security
You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting passwords, codes, and stream keys, and activity performed through your account. You must promptly report unauthorized access. You may not sell, share, or transfer your account.
4. Content, permissions, and third parties
You remain fully responsible for your content, people recorded or heard, copyrights, trademarks, personality and publicity rights, consents, permits, and other required authorizations. You may import only clips from your verified Twitch channel or upload intro or outro videos that you own or are authorized to use.
You grant Ahribox a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable licence, limited to the time needed to host, copy, transcode, relay, and display your content solely to provide, secure, and support the service. You retain ownership of your content. This licence ends after content deletion and normal backup expiry, subject to retention required by law or reasonably necessary for a claim.
Moblin, OBS, Twitch, mobile networks, and Internet providers are independent third parties. Their availability, rules, enforcement, changes, and data loss are outside Ahribox's control. You must comply with their terms and keep your own copies of important media.
5. Subscriptions, changes, and cancellation
Stripe subscriptions are billed in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes, at the price and frequency clearly shown before payment. They renew until canceled. An upgrade takes effect immediately with the displayed price adjustment; a downgrade normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. You can turn off renewal in the billing portal. Manually granted access ends on the date shown on the account.
After cancellation, access normally remains active through the paid period. Ahribox generally does not provide prorated refunds for a partly used or unused period. Ahribox will, however, refund duplicate or unauthorized charges, a paid service that was not provided, and any amount required by law. Ahribox may also provide a discretionary credit or refund for a verified material outage. This policy does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
6. Suspension and termination
Ahribox may suspend or limit an account for non-payment, a security risk, prohibited use, infringement, a legal demand, overload, or a threat to the infrastructure. Where reasonably possible, Ahribox will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Immediate suspension remains available to protect the service or the public. Where applicable law requires notice of contract termination, Ahribox will provide it, including the minimum 60-day notice applicable to certain indefinite-term successive-performance service contracts.
7. As-is service and technical risk
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties of availability, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You assume the risks inherent in live streaming, including loss of a broadcast, revenue, viewers, data, or platform access. Ahribox is not responsible for delay or interruption caused by an event reasonably beyond its control, subject to any mandatory legal obligation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ahribox is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or lost revenue, profit, goodwill, data, or opportunity. Ahribox's total liability for direct material damages related to the service is limited to the fees paid to Ahribox during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or a remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited. In particular, Ahribox does not disclaim the consequences of its own act where prohibited by the Consumer Protection Act and does not exclude liability for intentional or gross fault, or for bodily or moral injury, under Québec law.
9. Third-party claims
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify Ahribox against a reasonable third-party claim arising from your unlawful content, lack of authorization, or material breach of these terms, except to the extent caused by Ahribox's fault.
10. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Courts with jurisdiction in Québec have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights. French and English versions are available; the French version controls for a Québec user if they differ, subject to law.
11. Changes and contact
Ahribox may modify a non-essential element of these terms to reflect changes to the service, security, or law. Where required by law, Ahribox will send a clear written notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect, showing the former clause, the new clause, the effective date, and the right to cancel without cost. Ahribox will not unilaterally change an essential element, including price, the nature of the service, or duration, where prohibited by law. Renewed acceptance will be requested where required. Contact info@ahribox.com with a question, cancellation, complaint, or legal notice.
